Medical-diagnostic laboratory “City Lab“ is an outpatient care facility that provides medical trial services in the form of complete laboratory diagnostics. Laboratory City Lab was established by Dr. Paulina Dragieva-Ivanova and opened its first laboratory in Varna in 2002. Thanks to the correct, quality and fast service of patients, it in a short time succeeded and has been for already 14 years one of the leading laboratories in the city. Our high-tech activities cover the full range of assays needed to conduct prophylaxis, diagnosis and treatment.
The laboratory is licensed under the Health institutions act and has all the necessary certificates for carrying out its activity according to all contemporary requirements.
The process of assays carried out in the laboratory is controlled bilaterally: through both external and internal quality control. The internal laboratory control consists in the existence of a built internal laboratory system for daily control on all performed samplings in compliance with the requirements for good laboratory practice, as well as with the instructions of the companies producing equipment and diagnostics. External laboratory control is also included – laboratory “City Lab” participates monthly in the National System for External quality assessment.
All biological materials are taken by using a special standardized closed blood collection system to ensure safety, reliability and reliability for patients and medical staff in day-to-day work with blood materials.
The system consists of individual disposable sets that provide patients comfort, effective protection and better analysis quality.
The collection of other biological material – secretions and body fluids is done through appropriate transport media and sterile containers to optimize the quality of each test.
At City Lab, through a high degree of automation and integration of the process of registration of incoming materials for work, storage and delivery of the results, as well as of the internal laboratory activities, results in achievement of full control over the entire process from the receipt of the job order to providing final result.
