Dr. Petya Hubenova, PhD

Dr. Petya Hubenova is a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care, Doctor of Medicine, lecturer, and clinician with more than 14 years of professional experience.

Her professional path is closely connected with Alexandrovska University Hospital in Sofia, where she has gone through different stages of clinical and academic development – from resident physician to specialist, Doctor of Medicine, Chief Administrative Physician, and Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.

Dr. Hubenova has extensive experience in anesthesiology care for planned and emergency surgical interventions, intensive care and resuscitation, pre-anesthetic assessment and patient preparation, obstetric anesthesia and epidural analgesia, as well as the management of clinical processes in intensive care units.

In her practice, she applies an individual and responsible approach to each patient, with a focus on safety, comfort, and proper preparation before a medical procedure. She has experience in anesthesiology care and sedation for dental and gastroenterological procedures.

In 2021, she defended her educational and scientific degree “Doctor” in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Medical University – Sofia. As a lecturer and Chief Assistant Professor, she participates in the training of Bulgarian and international medical students and residents in Bulgarian and English.

In the period 2015–2016, she specialized at the leading university hospital Hôpital Bichat-Claude Bernard in Paris, France, where she expanded her clinical experience in anesthesiology and intensive care.

Her professional interests are focused on modern anesthesiology, intensive medicine, pain management, patient safety, and integrative approaches to maintaining health and quality of life.

Includes consultation with an anesthesiologist, sedation and/or anesthesia, monitoring during the procedure, and post-procedure observation.

Anesthesiology Care and Sedation for Dental Procedures – 250 EUR
Sedation and monitoring by an anesthesiologist during dental procedures, when necessary and after preliminary patient assessment.

In-person Pre-anesthetic Consultation – 70 EUR
A consultation with an anesthesiologist lasting up to 30 minutes, including review of medical information, assessment of the patient’s condition, and preparation before a planned procedure.
