Overview

Dr. Violeta Azis is the head of the Center for Psychological Assistance at “Lozenetz” University Hospital. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” with a focus on psychosomatic disorders, is a psychodrama therapist, and a specialist in Group Dynamics from the Institute of Group Psychology and the Austrian Association for Group Dynamics and Group Psychotherapy (ÖAGG). She is a certified Tele’Drama specialist from the international ITI institute, the only legitimate global organization for training specialists to work online.

She teaches in the master’s program in Clinical Psychology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and has been working as a clinical psychologist at “Lozenetz” University Hospital since 2010.

Dr. Azis consults hospitalized patients in all departments of the hospital—patients with psychosomatic complaints; before and after cardiac and other major surgeries; patients on hemodialysis; before and after liver and kidney transplants; as well as the families and loved ones of patients; and patients with cancer.

Dr. Violeta Azis is a member of the Bulgarian Psychological Association, the Bulgarian Association for Psychotherapy, the Association of Psychologists and Psychotherapists in Medical Structures, and the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP).
